Keşif Kampüsüs Completed First Academic Year
Keşif Kampüsü, launched by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, successfully completed its first academic year with Canik Özdemir Bayraktar Keşif Kampüsü and Samsun Keşif Kampüsü A total of 527 students were trained with different science and technology-based workshops.
Throughout the semester, students received training in 8 different workshops, including Astronomy Space and Aviation, Nature, Physics, Chemistry and Human Sciences, Technology, Personal Development, Mathematics and Supportive Education (Art, Music). Projects were made in each workshop theme and students realized their own original projects with the knowledge they learned during the year. Students reinforced what they learned by making presentations both as a team and individually.
Keşif Kampüsü is a children's university project that aims to blend science and technology and bring them together with children, who are the building blocks of the future. While school groups consisting of 1st-8th grade students receive education during the week, students selected by exam will receive career and awareness trainings in 8 different fields with the spiral curriculum method on weekends for 2 years. In these thematic workshops, students learn concepts by experimenting and experiencing through various experimental setups and discovery areas.
260 students received education at Samsun Keşif Kampüsü and 267 students received education at Canik Özdemir Bayraktar Keşif Kampüsü. In addition, art, music and personal development trainings support students' development in social and emotional areas.
Keşif Kampüsü aims to increase students' interest in science and technology, develop their questioning and discovery skills, and train them as future scientists. Having successfully completed its first year, the campuses will continue to inspire many students in the future.
